Personal Training

Personal Training is for anyone who wants to redefine the way they think of exercise, how they move, and what their body is capable of. 

My students are people who want a helping hand and someone who can coach them towards new goals and improved ways of moving. All while decreasing the effects of repetitive stress placed on the body from daily work habits, with the goal of living more comfortably in the incredible bodies we have been born with.

I will guide you on a journey that will help you get out of a rut, challenge you just the right amount, and help you achieve something you never thought was possible.

Yoga

Yoga, first and foremost, is an opportunity to tune into the breath, the mind, and the body, with intelligence and awareness.

The word yoga means different things to each individual. There are numerous styles and forms of practice and the world of yoga is ever evolving. 

For those who are new to yoga, the word might conjure up all kinds of associations. The most common thing I hear is "I need yoga because I'm inflexible!" Indeed, flexibility is an important component and focus in the yoga practice, and is often the first thing that needs attention. It will becoming crucial for those wanting to progress in traditional fitness skills. 

On-Line Personal Training

Do You Wonder How On-Line Personal Training Could Possibly Be Effective? 

I was leery about it myself, until I started using it to train my students. Scheduling is super easy, and out of the comfort of your own home, you can have someone coach you through your workout!

Your needs, your goals, your learning style. In my on-line personal training sessions I get you up and running,  teaching you the skills you need to execute and program your own home workouts, or to help you effectively use those kettle bells that have been collecting dust and that yoga mat only your cat uses. This can be for short period of time, or on an ongoing basis.

Monthly Coaching

Do you work better when you are accountable to someone? Are there questions you have about your fitness routine that you would like to discuss more regularly with a professional? A realistic option for success, my monthly coaching allows you to do your workouts on your own, with 4 on-line sessions to keep you on track.

Meet Karen

A professional classical musician most of my life, I have always had a secret love for health and fitness. Over the past several years, this passion has turned into a career, helping my colleagues build stronger minds and bodies, through fitness. My goal is to help those who may not currently feel comfortable in a gym, or those who could benefit from individualized training and program planning, build their confidence one move at a time. I will coach you to improve your movement patterns, energy levels and overall confidence. Together, we will instill habits that will serve you for a lifetime of mindful fitness.
